Best known for her leadership with 71 Proof, the premier beverage catering service of the Big Bend, LaTanya White is a servant leader at heart. She is a member of the 27th class of Leadership Tallahassee and has served on the Advisory Council for Access Tallahassee as well as the board of directors for Tallahassee Network of Young Professionals. White also recently founded the Vibrant Cities Project, and outcomes-driven non-profit organization focused on gauging citizen engagement. In the Fall of 2010, she was asked to serves as a Visiting Instructor of Entrepreneurship, Principles of Management and Fundamental Concepts (of business) at Florida A&M University’s School of Business and Industry.

White has been featured in a wide variety of media outlets including the April 2007 issues of Essence Magazine. She was named one the “25 Women You Need To Know” according to the Tallahassee Democrat, one of Tallahassee’s “Women to Watch” in Tallahassee Woman and the “Queen of Cocktails” in a past issue of the Florida Courier, along with having cocktail recipes published in Conde Nast Traveler and Nightclub & Bar magazines.

White graduated from Florida A&M University’s School of Business and Industry and earned her M.B.A. degree with honors in 2003. A few short years later, she also completed her degree in Wines, Spirits, and Beverage Management from the Art Institute of Tampa as one of her program’s first graduates.
