Women’s Business Council:
CONNECT. SUPPORT. GROW!
As an entrepreneur, businesswoman, and strategic communicator I can’t think of a better time to be a woman business owner than right now. And there’s no better place for women business owners than the five-county area served by the Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce where we’re in the throes of building a thriving community that will support anyone with a service or product to take to the marketplace.
Women in the Big Bend area are more than 200,000 strong and a significant percentage of us are at some stage of entrepreneurism or small business ownership. Some, like me, have taken that spare bedroom at home and turned it into an office space that churns out high-quality services or products at all hours of the day and night. Others have secured a small storefront, a lab space in an incubator, or impressive square footage in a high-trafficked part of town. Still others are quietly carrying around bright ideas in their head each day and planning to soon make that dream a reality.
“Wherever you are in your experience as an entrepreneur or small business owner, we’re prepared to meet you there and help you keep moving forward.”
In the Women’s Business Council, our mantra is to “connect, support and grow!” We are serious about our intentions to plan and implement smart programs for women who want to build, sustain and grow their own businesses. So please continue to visit our web page for updated information on workshops, lean-in circles, collaborative projects, and more. And if you haven’t already done so, join the Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce today! I promise you it’ll be one of the smartest decisions you’ve ever made.
