YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS COUNCIL

The Young Entrepreneurs Council (YEC) serves as a development tool to mentor, develop, connect and empower young business professionals between the ages of 17-35 in North Florida.

Young minority business professionals and entrepreneurs often complain that North Florida does not cater to their needs by having a solid network base that mentors and allows them to navigate in the business and political worlds. Often times they find their business and career opportunities rarely come into fruition in North Florida. As a result, they end up taking their talents to other parts of the state or leaving the state entirely in hopes of more favorable opportunities in areas that are nurturing to young professionals.

The YEC serves as an incubator to these young minority business professionals by connecting them with other like-minded, forward thinking progressive professionals who are vital, available and willing to cultivate their talents.

The purpose of the YEC is to retain these young diverse professionals by providing them with the professional development, networking, and business opportunities to make North Florida an optimal live, work and play community.
